Uniquely shaped , rare Jizai , Brazier Hook with brass hook and wooden stopper. Beautifully carved from a solid piece of Keyaki wood and patinated due to usage and age.

Jizai were considered representations of Ebisu, God of household prosperity.. Extremely Rare japanese folk collectable. Age: Edo-Meji period , 19 th century. 41 cm (16 inch) , W. 26 cm (10inc h), Thickness 11 cm(4.3inch). Weight 6.1kg(13.4lb) 7.6kg including all parts. Good condition with some minor abrasions due of age as you see in the photos.
