Rare Variation Japanese Samurai Arrow
Thick cane shaft with bone nock. Bullet shaped horn point with brass ferrule. Triple fletching of brown duck outer veins with swelled fronts and tapered backs.
The fletch area with owner's name. The use of a horn point suggests that this arrow was intended to be impact but not penetrate its target. That would be of value in archery demonstrations or contests where knowing over or dislodging a target would be the goal.
