Signed Japanese Porcelain Animal Flower Handle Pitcher. Rare and very unusual beautifully designed artist signed Japanese flower decorated double animal head handled pitcher. The back part of the handle has a mythological animal head. The pouring spout has an opened mouth of a mythological animal head. It is highlighted with gilt decorative designs.

The bottom of the pitcher is artist signed. There is also a small blue glaze mark on the inside near the top. The sides have a rounded melon shape. The sides are decorated with beautiful hand painted flowers with gilt decoration.

This is the most unusual Japanese porcelain item we have had the pleasure to offer for sale. We are quite sure the next owner will greatly admire and cherish this extraordinary Japanese ornate pitcher.

Height to the top of the handle 5-3/4 inches. From the opened mouth to the back of the pitcher it measures 5-1/2 inches. Width from side to side 4-3/8 inches. The pitcher is in excellent condition with no losses, chips or any restorations.
