RAREJapanese/Chinese faux TORTOISE shell+SILVER DRAGONs cigarette CASE/box. An old & & quite rare Japanese/Asian cigarette box in faux turtle shell & solid silver inlays. The smaller-size box appears to be constructed from a natural/organic material (tinted horn) with patchy patterns over chocolate background, darker & scarcer than usual with enough see-through transparency. Bth front & back are decorated with an attached & complete 3-clawed dragon in solid silver.

The top of the same material covers rather well (some problems with the retaining flap to stay hooked in the hole). Closed 3.13" mm H(igh) x 2.35" mm W(ide) x 0.7 mm T(hick). Good with a burnt spot & some bug-eaten flaws near the top rim, problematic closure as mentioned.

Due to the smaller size it might not be suitable for nowadays cigarettes except, perhaps, short & unfiltered ones? , please study SIZE carefully if you plan to use it.
