Rare and collectable antique Saiko-Kutani display bowl Circa 1890 - 1900. The two tiny characters on the back (circa 1mm x 2mm) identify the bowl as original Kutani.
Scalloped rolling edges, gold, blue and red with some hand painting and overglazed painting techniques. The bowl has 2 main scenes.
The first pictures 2 Japanese women with their hand maiden set between a screen in a garden beside a river. The second scene shows birds flying over a river adjacent to two Minka houses and a tree. The display bowl is 26cm wide and 7cm deep. Very good antique used condition, no cracks, no chips, no crazing. Full antique packing and boxing used for courier.
