RARE Circa 1500-1700's Japanese Edo Period Clay Pottery Man's Head Figure
For sale is this authentic antique late or post medieval aged Japanese clay pottery anthropomorphic head. This artifact is hand made out of a clay pottery or clay in the shape of a fattened male face (possibly a sumo wrestler, or other significant figure).
It likely was meant to be an embellishment on the wall of a house, temple, or building. Please study the photos so that you will have a good idea of condition. This is a wonderful piece! This is a beautiful artifact and would look awesome on display!
