They each have an original label - Made in Japan, Nagoya. The company logo is a letter'K' in an oval.
Each lantern measures approximately 150cm long. These lanterns are indeed very old and also very unusual, but as an antique item made of paper, they have some condition issues - please see all the images. I have read that they can be restored and as an item of historical interest it would be worthwhile. The city of Nagoya was one of the cities where lanterns / chochin were manufactured during and since the Edo period; it had an abundance of the materials required, washi and bamboo, to produce paper lanterns.Thank you for viewing my listing.
