We can discern a dragon on one side and a possibly a phoenix on the other with Asian large flowers in between. There is a large Asian calligraphy design in the center of the lamp base that resembles the Samurai inscription from their virtues or codes of conduct? Or Kung Fu / Karate symbols: The "empty hand way"? Or in Japanese symbols could mean: "Master". Measures: 26.5 to top of brass finial. Middle round piece: 5.5 diameter. 19 tall from base to light bulb socket. An original piece made in Japan.
