11 Tall Japanese Kutani Meiji chocolate pot. 11 in tall and 5 in at its widest. No chips, cracks or other major flaws.

Just a few areas where the paint has rubbed. Another item I inherited from my grandmother that has been sitting in a box for over 25 years. I don't know much about it at all. My grandparents were wordly travelers. Both born, raised and passed away in New Jersey. My grandfather owned a travel agency in New Brunswick NJ. I remember this being in the hutch in the dining room with all of their other valuables/collectibles. My lack of knowledge and resources is your gain. I've been researching this and other Asian items of my grandparents for a long time, but being in Iowa, I'm having to do it on my own.

I have not been able to find anything similar to this piece. I pay close attention to the shape and curls of the handle and nothing I find is comparable. This leads me to believe it is rare. Please look at the pictures closely. I did make some collages so I could include as many pictures with detail about the condition and craftsmanship.
