This is a unique O-Natsune. Made by a famous Makie artist TSUKUSHIRO Tsukuryoh (1951 / in Japanese). A unique aspect of this O-Natsume is that the body (=wood) is covered by Washi (=Traditional Japanese Paper) using Urushi (=japan) as glue. The motif or title of this O-Natsume is San-Sui (in Japanese / Mountain-Water in English) which means a traditional Japanese landscape. Is depicted on Washi using Makie technique.
In distance and in the middle: Mountains (intentionally vaguely with Washi) and temples and birds with Makie technique (photo #7). The result is very calm and exquisite. It is in excellent condition. No chips or cracks at all. White (shining) parts on photographs are reflection of light, i. Approximate Size: Height: 7.5 cm / 3.0 in Diameter: 7.3 cm / 2.9 in. Approximate Weight: 64 gr / 2.3 oz.
