Blade has both signs named -(front)Sashu jyu Fujiwara Motohiko (back)keio Gannen 2 gatsu nichi- that is attached to recognized by NBTHK (Nihon Bijyutsu Token Hozon Kyokai) Tokubetsu Hozon paper.Motohiko was very very rare swordsmith who was activated Sado Koku around late Edo period. Blade is old polished and has almost no wound. Temper (Ha) and Hada keep excellent condition though there are thin scratch and tiny rest of rust a little bit.. Especially called Ohiratsuku with Bo-hi have wide, beautiful and powerful appearance. Patterned Habaki is made by solid Silver. Blade is 53.4cm in full length, Temper part 40.4cm.
