A rare 17th century antique japanese silk seal netsuke depict a seated foreigner(nanbanjin) , on the bottom is visible the inkan seal. Made of metal(probably a short of bronze) with a deep warm patina, the inkan still have a few traces of vermillion ink. Silk seals were among the very first type of netsuke. Size details: 4 centimeters x 2.8 centimeters.
